Learn how to free motion quilt a feather wreath using a grid in this mini course. Your feathers will finally line up perfectly and make the wreath look continuous. Discover various other wreath shapes that you can stitch out without any problems. Create amazing wreaths for your projects.
This mini course will:
- focus on the structure of the feather wreaths.
- focus on the bump-back feather and the continuous feather.
- explain how to use a grid of concentric circles as a base for your wreath.
- contain 2 pdfs with the reference points of the two feather wreaths and various other wreath types.
- contain footage of a domestic sewing machine, but the content applies to longarm machines too.
- provide a bonus tutorial for a Halloween Bat Wreath. This tutorial was shared previously with newsletter subscribers.
This course does not contain:
- explanation on the free motion quilting technique.
- explanation on how to add circles to your fabric.
- explanation on how to add radial lines to your circles.
- explanation on which marking tool or templates to use.
- a specific project.
The mini course was part of the Free Motion Quilting Summit in 2023. The course is cut up into smaller parts for convenience. Small editing changes have been made, but it is essentially the same mini course as the one in the FMQ Summit from 2023.
